Mr Sharp was established in 2010 by qualified chef Joel Sharpe. Joel began his career as a young chef working for Sydney icon Greg Doyle at Pier, Rosebay. He went on to work in some of Sydney's best restaurants including Quay and Bel Mondo.
It is with this industry experience that Joel began Mr Sharp. Joel returned to the kitchen as Sydney's leading mobile sharpener.
In 2018 brothers Adam and Joel Sharpe joined forces to create Mr Sharp Exchange. With a background in business and a passion for knives, Adam was mentored by Joel and became one of Sydney's superior sharpeners. Together the brothers developed a specialised knife rental service for Sydney's bistros, cafes, schools and hospitals.
